With the scoring rubric, I gave myself a 50/50 on the project. I believe this is a fair representation of my work as I worked in a diligent and organized fashion to coordinate this event and grew from the setbacks I faced along the way. The event turned out very well with just shy of fifty booths and over 1000 attendees. As I was the one setting my own deadlines, I made sure everything was done in a timely fashion, having things done ahead of time if possible. I gave my mentor frequent updates, as it was important she knew what I was doing to give feedback and improve from there. I went in with the drive to learn, and from this project, I was able to learn a lot about myself and grow to be a better leader in the future.
The STEAM Expo was a very fun learning experience for me. This has been the biggest project I've ever done and going into it, I honestly had no idea what I was doing. I had shadowed the previous year's coordinator, but I had not held many leadership positions before that. I quickly learned many of the things that were expected of me and kept my tasks and files well organized. For me, I felt like the hardest part was not the actual work, but the leadership I would have to show. Naturally, I am quite reserved, especially with my opinions, so at first, it was difficult to express my opinion, especially if it went against someone else's. Over the course of the project, I have learned to be more confident in my opinion and state my ideas respectfully with reasoning. Although I have improved, in the future I will still strive to have more confidence in my words, and speak up for myself to avoid getting taken advantage of. I also learned about working in a team, and from this experience, I have learned that communication is not only important in a group setting to keep everyone updated, but also in one on one settings to speak up when someone is not doing their job. I believe my strengths in this project were mainly qualities that were developed through individual work, such as organization and efficient working, and when combined with the teamwork and communication skills I learned through the project, allowed me to complete this project very well. I am very happy I pushed myself to take on this project and hope to take on more opportunities for growth in the future!

Time LogI kept a time log to keep a record of my progress on creating the event. In total, I got over 70 hours which included group tasks such as meetings with my mentor or graphic designer, and individual work such as organizing and finalizing documents and email correspondence with various members of the community.
